أعزائي أولياء الأمور،
كما تعلمون فقد شهدنا مؤخرًا زيادة في عدد حالات COVID-19 في عمان. هذا بلا شك نتيجة لمتغير Omicron الجديد الذي يبدو أنه ينتشر في جميع أنحاء العالم.

Dear Parents,
As you are aware we have recently seen an increase in the reported number of COVID-19 cases in Oman. This is undoubtedly as a result of the new Omicron variant that seems to be spreading throughout the world.
During the first two weeks of this term, we have had a number of reported cases amongst parents and students. In addition, a small number of our teaching staff have also tested positive. Whenever a case is reported to the school, we have followed the recommended protocols and informed the Ministry of Education (MOE) and the Ministry of Health (MOH).
Towards the end of last week, we were informed by the authorities that KG to Year 4 should return to e-learning for the next four (4) weeks. For these students all the necessary resources will be uploaded through Firefly and lessons will be conducted through Teams. Mr Darren (Head of Primary) has already sent out the details of the amended timetable.
In addition to the above, we will also be offering those students in Years 5 to 13, the chance to attend classes virtually, through Teams, if they are required to isolate.
However, please note that in accordance with MOE guidelines, students in Years 5 to 13 are expected to attend school unless isolating. Therefore, for a student to be given access to Teams, parents will need to provide the school with evidence of a positive test (for the student and/or their parents) before access will be granted.
Furthermore, and given the above information, we have also decided to delay the start of our Extra-Curricular Programme (ECA) until further notice.
