Middle School CPR Training

Dear Parents/Guardians,

On the 9th March 2020, we will have the honour to welcome Dr Kamila Al-Alawi Director of Training and Studies Department at the Royal Hospital, Ministry of Health and her team join us here at The Sultan’s School (TSS) to offer a Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training course, to our Middle School students on 9th March 2020.

The purpose of the visit to TSS is to provide the students with knowledge related to CPR and how to act towards certain life-threatening conditions.

The session for each year group will take the form of 10 minutes of theory followed by 30 minutes of hands-on practice.

The team will involve three (American Heart Association) AHA certified trainers who will conduct three sessions on three separate stations. For the stations, three manikins will be available (adult, pediatric and infant). In addition, each student will receive a mouth shield to protect any direct contact with the manikin.

Dr Kamila will be available as the main supervisor and a photographer from the Royal Hospital/Ministry of Health will be available for media coverage.

We will require written consent from you who will agree for your child’s photos to be shared in social media. (Royal Hospital Instagram, Facebook and Tweeter).

This is an excellent opportunity for our students to learn a possible life-saving skill.

Kind regards,

Ms Suzanne
