On Thursday 26th September 2019, Thomas Kleefeld from Qualies (An Omani organization for quality and innovation strategies ) talked to the whole school about the need for more native trees in Oman. Thomas heads a project funded by BP Oman to develop a reforestation initiative in Oman to reintroduce many native plant species that have been in decline in the Sultanate over the past several decades.
Using technology like the Waterboxx, plants can be encouraged to grow deep roots which help maximise survival rates.
